Q. I need a dog walker. What do I do first?
A. Fill out the Information Sheet (PDF), which provides a little background on your dog and emergency contact information. Once that is filled out, call or email to set up a meeting at your convenience so that we can meet your dog and discuss your needs. It’s best to make copies of any keys needed to enter your home to pick up your pet for this meeting. You will also need to fill out the the Client Agreement Form (PDF).

Q. Does my dog need to meet any requirements?
A. Yes. All dogs participating in group walks must be social, non-aggressive and get along well with other dogs. They must also have some basic obedience training, i.e., sit, stay, etc. All group walk dogs must be spayed or neutered and all dogs should have their current shots. Q. Are all dogs off-leash during a group walk?
A. Yes, dogs will only be off-leash in designated areas when on group walks, unless otherwise requested.

Q. What if the weather is bad? Will my dog still be walked?
A. Of course, your dog will be walked rain or shine. Dogs love a little rain, it just makes it that more fun for them! If you leave a towel at the door, I can dry him off if necessary. Please note however that I can’t bathe your dog as I have his buddies to get home as well. But I can put him in a designated area in your home or in a crate, if you’d prefer.

Q. Will there be aggressive dogs in his group?
A. All dogs are screened for aggressive behaviour before being accepted into a play group.

Q. Do you ever take a day off or go on vacation?
A. Sometimes a day or two off is necessary. But I will give you a minimum of two weeks notice and will help you make other arrangements so that your dog is still being walked.

Q. What if I have to cancel my dog’s walk for a day or two?
A. If you have to cancel your dog’s regular walk, two days notice is required.

Q. Can I get my dog in for a walk at the last minute?
A. Of course, I’ll try to get your dog scheduled in for walk on short notice. Ideally, a week’s notice would be great. Weekend walks may be available, however, these do need to be booked 5 days in advance. Just give me a call and I’ll see what I can do for you.
